Overview of BigCommerce + QuickBooks Online integration

Sales sync
- On a daily basis, the integration will sync a summary of your previous day’s sales data into QuickBooks generating an invoice.
- Opt to sync all orders into separate invoices.
- You can customise your preferred sales summary view by choosing from a wide array of formats.
- Capture all payment transactions including gift cards, tips, tax and payment fees.
- Easily reconcile deposits into the clearing accounts.

Cost of goods sold (COGS) sync
- Sync your cost of goods sold and inventory amounts to track your gross profit and margins directly in your financial reports.
How to set up BigCommerce + QBO integration

Register or sign in to the Amaka dashboard to get started.

Click the New integration button and select BigCommerce + QuickBooks Online from the integrations list to commence the setup.

Sign in to your BigCommerce account by clicking the Connect new account button underneath BigCommerce logo. Follow the guided authentication process to grant all relevant permissions.

Authenticate your QuickBooks Online account following the guided authentication process, then click Save + Continue.

Follow the wizard to choose your preferred configuration method, invoice breakdown, invoice format, mapping and scheduler options to complete the setup of the integration.

Click Save + Continue to finish and activate the integration.
Configuration methods
At the beginning of your setup wizard, you’ll be able to choose your preferred configuration method from the options listed below.
Express configuration
Every day, an invoice with your daily sales summary will be created in QuickBooks Online.
The integration will automatically map sales and payments from BigCommerce into QuickBooks Online by creating the following default accounts:

Tax account mapping (for US only)
Setting up with Express, BigCommerce taxes are mapped to the preset account called BigCommerce Collected Taxes. The total tax amounts for each tax rate are synced into separate line items and mapped to this current liability account.
