How Managed Reconciliation Services can help with handling your integration

This guide was made for Managed Reconciliation Services customers. With this service, our Integration Specialists take the reins on reconciliation for all transactions synced by Amaka’s accounting integrations.

Overview

Reconciling your financial transactions can be challenging, especially when managing data from multiple sales channels and sources such as your POS system, e-commerce platform, bank accounts, and accounting software. Our Managed Reconciliation Services team takes care of the reconciliation process associated with Amaka accounting integrations, ensuring that all your records are accurate and aligned.

We ensure that:

  • Sales recorded in your POS/e-commerce platform are also correctly in your accounting system,
  • Any fees, refunds, or chargebacks are properly accounted for,
  • Deposits or refunded payments are allocated to the appropriate clearing accounts,
  • Any other relevant transactions associated with your integration are recorded appropriately.

We also provide a detailed, easy-to-understand report showing:

  • A breakdown of your sales and deposits,
  • Any discrepancies found and how they were resolved,
  • A summary of your accounts, so you always know the clearing account balances.

Handling clearing accounts

Our team manages all clearing accounts linked to your Amaka integrations, including the review of bank deposit transactions, ensuring they are accurately allocated to the appropriate clearing accounts.

Mapping updates

We review and manage your integration mappings and settings as needed. We can also initiate any changes you would like to make to the configuration settings from time to time. We’ll identify any missing mappings arising from new products/accounts, user issues related to sales and other settings, mis-categorisations, payments, tax types and bank accounts. Then, we will inform you of these instances immediately and resolve the issues to keep your records compliant and up-to-date.
